Back in 2010, Lebanese stand-up comedian Wissam Kamal was performing at Al-Kafaat when he noticed one of the students was laughing at his jokes even though she was deaf. He learned later that she was reading his lips most of the time and her friends were explaining the jokes in sign language the rest of the time, so he took it upon himself to learn sign language and prepare a first of its kind show in Lebanon, a stand-up comedy in sign language for deaf people.
It’s been 8 years now and Wissam is finally ready to deliver, but it won’t be before end of 2018. The show is happening by end of 2018 or early 2019. I will keep you posted as soon as he announces it.
